Lip colour neutralisation is where the dark or cool (blue/purple/grey) hues in the lips are lightened and evened out for a more rosy tone. Usually for clients who have melanin rich lips and are classed as fitzpatrick 3 to 6, for example Asian, African, Mediterranean backgrounds.

Lip neutralisation is an advanced process and may take 2 or 3 sessions depending on the desired result. The first session concentrates on neutralising to warm the cool tones of the lips and the second and possibly third session is then spent perfecting or using the target colour to achieve the results the client wants.

Everyone's lips have different undertones, which limit each individuals' expectations' of what is realistic.

Included is a two step procedure, the first to neutralise and another appointment 8 weeks later for a colour top up. Pigment colours are selected to enhance your lips and the treatment area is numbed prior and during the treatment and is kept comfortable throughout

If you have ever suffered with cold sores, medication prior to treatment is advised, to prevent an outbreak occur. Contact me for further information. A colour boost is recommended every 12 - 24 months, depending on individual levels of fade.
