What is a Carbon Laser Peel?

How does the Carbon Laser Peel work?
The laser energy works in two ways: it gently targets the melanin (pigmentation) in the cells, breaking it down for your body's natural removal processes. It then penetrates deep into the skins dermis causing the skin to contract and stimulate collagen. A thin layer of liquid Carbon is applied to the skin, penetrating deep into the pores. The laser is passed over the area, it destroys the Carbon, also removing dead skin cells, bacteria and oil with it. Although it 'zaps' across the face, you feel nothing more than a tingle with minimal downtime.

Sun damage is a common form of hyperpigmentation, presenting as dark patches on the skin, known as sun spots, which are caused by UV sun damage on the face or ageing. The best treatment for sun spots or sun damage is laser pigmentation removal.

At The Brow Girl, we provide laser pigmentation treatment using our Q-switched Nd laser. The laser targets the darker pigment, shattering it and drawing it to the surface. With this laser facial, the darker pigment flakes off five days after treatment. This hyperpigmentation treatment is effective for sun damage skin treatment, freckle removal treatment, and reducing dark blemishes and sun spots. The laser can also promote collagen production in the treated areas, helping to rejuvenate and tighten the skin after a course of treatments.
